What are the side effects of Hemp Extract CBD?
Although minimal, research suggests that using CBD oil can trigger some side effects, including drowsiness, changes in mood and appetite, dizziness, nausea and dry mouth. We always recommend starting with a small serving of CBD and building up to an amount that works for you. Should you experience any side effects, stop immediately and speak with your healthcare professional. One full dropper (1ml) of our Daily CBD+MCT oil contains 20mg of CBD.
How long does it take for CBD topicals to take effect?
CBD topicals provide targeted relief but they do take time to take effect, in some cases up to an hour to feel the relief, specifically for pain relief. We suggest where muscle or joint pain is chronic try layering a few applications of Comfort Cream over the course of the day, this will provide long term relief, around four to six hours.
For skin conditions we have found that relief is felt quickly after the cream is applied as the natural shea butter and coconut oil provide a soothing moisture barrier and help the CBD penetrate into the inflamed skin.
We designed our Comfort Cream to contain 500mg of CBD isolate to ensure efficacy and relief.
How long does it take for CBD oil/ tincture to take effect?
This is hard to pinpoint as we are all unique in our makeup and lifestyles. Starting a new regimen of healthy eating or adding supplements to your diet is an individual thing and change is largely due to a number of things. However, we find that a consistent approach to taking CBD creates a better all round effect.
We have chosen 600mg, which gives a 20mg dose as a good benchmark, but you may want to start by taking ½ the dose (half the dropper/ 10mg) and gradually increasing overtime.
The best person to check in with you is you so perhaps start on a lower dose and if you are not seeing results over the course of 4-6 weeks you may want to consider increasing.
Where do you source your CBD from?
We source our CBD for our topical products from a local grower here in Upstate New York where we are based. We work with High Falls Hemp who provide us with high grade CBD Isolate, we know and trust the quality of their ingredients.
Our Daily CBD+MCT supplement is from our partner PSC who’s breeding farm is located at Colorado’s Western Slope area. They grow and cultivate this hemp under our strict protocols across Colorado, Montana and Kansas.
PSC uses CO2 extraction as its method of extraction. CO2 extraction is a process that uses pressurized carbon dioxide to pull the desired phytochemicals (such as hemp) from a plant. This method has proven to be one of the most versatile, cleanest, and safest means of producing hemp concentrates. It is also considered the more viable alternative to other methods of separation and extraction, as well as the most expensive one. CO2 is already a standard extraction method for the food and herbal supplement industries: from the decaffeination of coffee and tea to the extraction of essential oils for perfumes, this process has become commonplace in many fields.
Can I use CBD products if I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant and tempted to try CBD products, the best thing to do is to discuss it with your doctor. He or she can offer other, pregnancy-safe ways to improve your symptoms, and advise you of all the potential risks and side effects of CBD — both for you and the baby.
Can I use CBD products if I am recovering from drug or alcohol addiction?
As CBD is not psychoactive, which means it won’t get you high, unlike the compound THC which produces the mind-altering sensations, therefore it is safe to use if you are in recovery. In fact many people in recovery have found that CBD oil helps them reduce anxiety and promote a feeling of focus and wellbeing. That being said everyone’s recovery journey is different and you may feel CBD oil is not for you.
Is CBD legal?
Federal law still says CBD oils are legal to possess if they contain no more than 0.3 percent THC. All Eliza & Wyld products contain less than 0.3%THC.
