Morning Mai Tai
Spicy, fruity and with a delicious herbaceous note.
Ingredients
20mg, (1ml dropper) Eliza & Wyld, DAILY CBD+MCT 600mg tincture
1 1/2 ounces chilled apple cider, preferably spiced.
1/2 ounce ginger syrup
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/2 ounce almond-flavored syrup
Ice cubes, plus crushed ice for serving
4 thin red apple slices, for garnish
Method
To make the different syrups, make two batches of simple syrup by using equal parts organic cane sugar and water (1 cup), heating in a pan on the stove until the sugar has dissolved. Add two inches of fresh ginger (sliced) to one batch and simmer for an hour. Add two teaspoons of almond extract to the second batch and remove from heat. Cool both batches and bottle, leaving the ginger in to steep and add flavor.
When the syrups are cooled, mix all ingredients together (CBD included) in a cocktail shaker with ice and pour over fresh ice, garnish with the fresh apple slices.
Alternatively larger quantities can be mixed in a pitcher (like we do for our farmers market stalls!).
For extra heat add in 1/2 oz Apple Cider vinegar to give some punch, or a little splash of dark rum or smokey Mezcal. Enjoy!
